Tracking

I track the collection via software on a Mac Studio and several iOS devices. The information is compiled in Microsoft Excel, a spreadsheet application featuring cross-compatible Windows, Mac and iOS versions. With it, I created a database containing a record for each bottle which includes informational fields covering product name, house, creator, size, concentration, geographic origin, launch year and acquisition details.

Documentation

Aside from exhibiting the collection on this website, I also present it in a book format through the use of Affinity Publisher page layout software. To accomplish this, I employ the software’s “Data Merge” feature. With it, I import the Excel data into a document template that I designed. This merge feature will also import photographs via fields in the source data that link to each image’s path and filename. Subsequent document updates are generated easily with this merge feature.
